2024/25 LSJ Tryouts
Requirements for the ability to try out for the LSJ program: Must be in 9th – 12th for the 24/25 School year, must live in Michigan in one of the following counties; Berrien, Cass or Van Buren County, and/or attend a Michigan High school in one of the counties. Homeschool students must live in Michigan in one of the listed counties.
All tryout sessions will be held at The Garden Ice Arena as follows:
• Sunday 5/5 1:15 - 2:45 pm
• Monday 5/6 8:20-9:50 pm
• Wednesday 5/8 8:30-9:50 pm
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU REGISTER TO TRYOUT:
• Players will be required to submit current school grades before trying out.
• Players must be able to pass a drug test.
• Players must be able to pass a sport physical.
• Families must have a zero-balance due with LSJ or their previous season's team.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT MAKING THE TEAM:
• There is potential for call backs to take place. It is at the assessor's discretion to determine which players and at what times/days are asked. Call backs are used as an opportunity to solidify the understanding of the player's skill.
• Placement on a team can occur anytime between 4/16/24 to 12/31/24.
• Player movement between Prep and Varsity is a possibility during the season.
All players are expected to arrive to each tryout day with:
• Light AND dark jerseys
• Both must include your last name and the same number
PROSPECT SKATES
The LSJ program welcomes all Warriors prospects to attend up to 4 skates ahead of tryouts. This is a great opportunity for any player desiring ice time to prepare for the upcoming tryouts. These skates are optional, not mandatory. Payment options are $15.00 for each attended skate or $55 to attend all scheduled sessions. These prospect skates are as follows:
• Monday 4/8 5:45-6:45 pm
• Thursday 4/18 3:40-4:40 pm
• Wednesday 4/24 5:00-6:00 pm
• Thursday 5/2 3:40-4:40 pm
